You Asked – Making Prints

November 13, 2008 by Ralph S 4 Comments

Today’s question comes from Gwen, and she asks:

“My art club wants to purchase a computer, scanner and printer. Does anyone have suggestions as to what we should purchase?

We wish to make quality prints of our work. I’m guessing 11″X14″ will be the largest size we will be able to make or maybe I should say afford. ”

Do you have any information that might help Gwen?

Please leave your response in the comments box below.

Thanks!

Hi i have a hp photo smart 8750 printer that prints up to 13×19 and i love it! i did alot of reserch before purchasing it and of course now they have newer models. it is kind of big but the prints are great. as far as computers go we just purchased an hp at costco with all the ingredients for $1200.00 with a huge screen. well worth the money. hope this helps!

Wow, you’re getting in to some high dollar printer/scanner if you want one that will take 11″X14″. Regardless, you MUST have a laser type printer. They are also expensive, but well worth the cost.

Thanks Jan, Kelly and Nick for your help. We are having a meeting on Friday to go over our options for the printer, scanner, and computer. Someone local suggested we get a good camera instead of a scanner.

Wish us luck in our journey.

    Happy Painting.
    Gwen
