You Asked – Displaying a Pastel Painting

January 14, 2010 by Ralph S Leave a Comment

Today’s question comes from Marie and she writes:

“I have recently been experimenting with oil pastels and have achieved some good results. Do the pastels ever completely dry and how are they to be displayed? I see there is a fixative for them… must they be shown under glass? I’d like to use them in some of my mixed media paintings and just seal them.”

Do you have any information that might help Marie?  Please leave your response in the comments box below.

Thanks!
